Grants of up to $25,000 to Massachusetts and Israel nonprofit organizations for the advancement of women and girls in Boston and Israel. Applicants must submit an LOI prior to applying. Boston Projects may benefit the Jewish or secular community. For Israel projects, the Funding Source has a special interest in applications benefiting the greater Haifa region. Projects must address one or more of the following areas: education, health economic empowerment, personal safety, and legal rights. The Fund welcomes applications for new and ongoing results-oriented projects that can demonstrate a measurable and sustainable impact.

Up to a maximum of $25,000

Term of Contract:

Funding will be for the fiscal year July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. The Fund makes one-year grants that may be considered for renewal for up to three years.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are made only to 501(c)3 organizations in the United States or to the Israeli equivalents.

The Fund does not support capital projects or scholarships, or make grants to individuals.

Pre-Application Information:

Interested applicants should complete the attached Miriam Fund Letter of Intent Application. All letters should be submitted by email no later than 5:00 p.m. EST, September 3, 2019. Mail a hard copy to Daniella Levine, as well.

If selected to submit a full proposal, you will be notified by November 22, 2019. Complete instructions on the full proposal process will be provided at that time. The deadline for submitting full proposals is January 10, 2020.

Site visits and/or follow up conversations by members of the Fund may be a component of the final application process. The Fund will notify all applicants of its decisions by mid-April 2020.
