Battle River Community Foundation (BRCF)
Grants to Alberta nonprofit organizations and municipalities for innovative programs to respond to changing community needs in the Battle River area. Applications will be considered for projects and activities in a broad range of areas, including health, education, recreation, and arts and culture.
The Foundation serves an area that stretches from Camrose west to Gwynne, south to Bashaw and Alliance, east to Hughenden and north to Highway 14.
Organizations seeking funds must demonstrate a strong and committed volunteer board of directors, fiscal responsibility, and effective management of resources. Partnerships and collaboration are encouraged. Projects that impact the largest number of individuals possible, with a modest investment of funds, are preferred. In general, grants are approved for needs not met by other funding sources.
Grants are made for definite purposes and for projects covering a specific time period. The Community Foundation prefers to make grants to organizations that are responsive to changing community needs. Innovative solutions and preventive actions are welcome.
