Grants to USA, Canada, and International medical professional schools and healthcare institutions in eligible regions for research projects related to blood cancer. Funding is intended to support medical education for hematologists, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of people with multiple myeloma. Eligible international applicants are located in Western Europe, Japan, Singapore, and Brazil.

Projects that will be considered for Pfizer support will focus on increasing healthcare professional understanding of BCMA-directed therapies (BCMAxCD3 bi-specifics; BCMA-ADC; BCMA – CAR-T cells) in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma, including:

  • Mechanisms of action
  • Available clinical data – efficacy insights and side effect profiles
  • Overview of experiences and potential for sequencing of BCMAdirected treatments
  • Clinical risk factors for the development of treatment-specific AEs
  • Use of prognostic biomarkers (with focus on cytogenetics/GEP) in clinical practice
  • Role of sBCMA on this therapeutic class
  • Role of MRD in response assessment and therapy management
  • Mechanisms of drug-resistance/loss of response with emerging treatments
  • Therapy management

All activity formats will be considered under this RFP (live in-person, live virtual, enduring courses, online communities, digital, social, etc.).

Individual projects requesting up to $250,000 will be considered.

Smaller grant requests for local or regional activities or for more limited audiences are also encouraged.

Geographic Scope: United States, Western Europe, Japan, Singapore, Canada and Brazil

Applicant Eligibility Criteria
- The following may apply: medical, nursing, allied health, and/or pharmacy professional schools; healthcare institutions (both large and small); professional associations and medical societies; medical education companies; and other entities with a mission related to healthcare professional education and/or healthcare improvement.
- If the project involves multiple departments within an institution and/or between different institutions/organizations/associations. all institutions must have a relevant role and the requesting organization must have a key role in the project.
- For projects offering continuing education credit, the requesting organization must be accredited.

It is not Pfizer's intent to support clinical research projects. Projects evaluating the efficacy of therapeutic or diagnostic agents will not be considered.

Independent Medical Education Grants awarded by GMG cannot be used to purchase therapeutic assets (prescription or nonprescription).
