Grants of up to $1,000 to Saskatchewan nonprofit organizations, businesses, agencies, artists collectives, First Nations, IHEs, and community groups to develop local arts-related activities. Funding is intended to build relationships with potential artists, present “experimental” introductory projects and/or assess community needs, research, and/or develop plans for longer term projects or residencies.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Community Organizations can apply for up to $1,000 plus expenses related to artist travel (if necessary, limited to within Saskatchewan) to support eligible expenses.

Term of Contract:

Funds for the Micro-Grant funding stream are allocated each fiscal year (April 1 – March 31) and are assigned quarterly.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible Applicants
- The Community Organization must be based in the province of Saskatchewan.
- The Community Organization can be any incorporated for-profit companies or non-for-profit community-based organizations, e.g., businesses, institutions, health care, Justice Facilities, municipalities, First Nations, Métis Locals, post-secondary institutions, artists collectives, Band Councils, etc.
- The Community Organization must be in good standing with the Arts Board (i.e., have no overdue reporting on any prior grants) when the application is received and any grant payments are issued.
- Owing to the four-week response time on these grants, the Arts Board is only able to accept MicroDevelopment submissions in English.

- The Foundation recommends you contact a program consultant well in advance (six to eight weeks minimum) of the grant deadline date to discuss the application process and requirements.

- Applicants are informed of grant decisions no later than 90 days after the deadline.

- Applicants cannot receive funding from this program more than once in any 12-month period.
