Gerry Boyle Memorial Community Grant:
Gerry Boyle was a community leader, respected businessman, active volunteer, and, most importantly, a friend to many. With his unexpected passing earlier this year, Gerry left behind an extraordinary legacy with an unmatched commitment to his community. To honor Gerry’s legacy of “Service Through Sport and Commitment to Community”, nonprofit organizations in the greater Cambridge area are eligible to apply for the Gerry Boyle Memorial Community Grant.
Gerry was the IRONMAN 70.3 Eagleman and IRONMAN Maryland Race Director and played an integral part in bringing the latter event to fruition in 2014. For more than 20 years, Gerry dedicated much of his life to supporting the thousands of athletes who descended upon Cambridge each year. It was his mission to provide an unparalleled and first-class experience for each athlete, honoring the hard work they put in to get to the start line. All the while, he was sure to keep efforts of the volunteers and support of the community at the forefront of everything he did.
