Grants of up to $1,500 to Allentown, Pennsylvania nonprofits for community service projects that benefit children and youth. The Foundation's priority for funding projects is first to Allentown, then Lehigh County, and then the Lehigh Valley. The Foundation considers projects that support children and youth its priority.

In the past, the following focus areas have been funded:
-Parenting skills
-Child abuse prevention
-Safety and pediatric trauma
-Childcare
-Early development
-Maternal and infant health
-Nutrition
-Education
-Sports
-Arts & Recreation

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grants usually do not exceed $1,500, although periodically the Foundation has awarded grants of a more substantial nature for special projects of significant value to the local, as well as global, community.

Term of Contract:

The Foundation will not commit funds for multi-year projects.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants recipients must be registered 501(c)3 organizations.

Special consideration will be given to Kiwanis generated projects.

The Foundation will make grants to support specific child related projects, not operating budgets including salaries.

Our grant application period begins on July 1, 2019. Applications must be postmarked on or before October 1, 2019. You can apply for a grant from the Kiwanis Foundation of Allentown by downloading the application.
